So What's worth playing ?

My DAoC accounts have now closed and I have not been there for some months now. I am waiting for WarHammer to come out but wondered what peeps thought was worth a short visit in the meantime. I have not got the hours I had when DAoC was kewl but do find myself looking for something to fill the gap. ...

Ouch !

Nice to see you posting. Not quite sure who of FS is still DAoC'ing at the moment. I am simply passing time waiting for WarHammer and increasingly wondering if I will bother with it anyway.

I probably will though :?

Dard, its not inconsistency for me. Its an acknowledgment of all the mistakes that those who were in charge before have made. Sharkith/Nat You may have more faith than me Sharky. I am not sure if this is a change of stance from GoA or simply an inconsistent approach following a change of GM (and pe...

I suspect part of the feeling of it taking so long is that people have been talking about it and even looking forward to it for ages. Wasn't the last release date actually moved forwards to spring 2008 ? Seems quite a few of us are looking to the next thing after DAoC. Games like LotR or WoW have no...

In all my years of DAoC I never had much to do with any of the GM's. Never had much cause to sing their praises and never had any cause to doubt their actions or question their attitudes. The TT action did annoy me. It was ill thought out in terms of consequences and gave little thought to a game th...

Got to agree with a lot of the sentiment expressed here. I came in just before SI - I still remember someone having to explain to me a healer could give you your con loss back after I died for the 5th time. I remember taking a horse to Tir Uphost and seeing TNN for the first time (then trying to wal...

I'd say the real problem there is not that Paris' sentence was overly harsh, but the fact that Naomi Cambell's case is a typical example of celebrities getting away with things that others normally wouldn't to be honest. I kind of agree. Naomi has a history of violence and ends up with community se...

Didn't Naomi Cambell recently get community service for beating up her maid ?

So jail for driving while disqualified and community service for beating someone up. Hhhmmm nice balance there.

More likely to argue the fact that the jail sentence is a bit harsh.

Not sure about US cases but I bet in the UK most people who drive while disqualified don't end up with a 45 day jail term - crikey people who are guilty of death by dangerous driving get less than that.
