Spend it on dye - you've got to look good!! USP is right (again); DAoC once needed no gold farming. Actually, it didn't need gold farming even after there was stuff to spend it on but that's not the point. IIRC from my brief time in WAR doesn't it cost a huge amount of gold to claim a keep though?
