i'm not snake expert but from what i've been told they eat guineapigs (sp) and rats aswell

Ive used various sizes of mice/rats/rabbits to feed my snakes (the ones I used to have) but I must admit that feeding live animals doesnt feel right...so thats why I buy frozen ones. It's not really safe for the snakes/lizards to eat live food anyway as they can get seriously hurt by it. I've seen snakes die cos of rat bites .. strange you might think, but its abit different for them to catch their pray in small cages as in the wild they have more space for their attack (also, in the wild they die from time to time cos of their prey too)

Well, the 3.5m Tiger Python I used to have ate like 3 big rabbits every 3rd week or so

I know a mate with an 8m python that eats 1 pig each month..
