I believe the rights to the Hobbit are almost secured.

I wonder who will be Thorian, and just imagine what Smaug will be like!!

This is a movie I a seriously looking forward to.

i agree, cant wait, but its got a big big job to do to keep up with LOTR. Is jackson doing it?

Jackson is doing it it is him who has almost got the rights secured.....

will have to be great movie if he wants it to get on same line as lotr ones. but 4 years ... long time, i'll prolly have second baby by then or 3th or maybe even a 4th

he did say he would never make the hobbit though

guess he changed his mind pretty quick

I just want to see a movie of the begining - yknow everyone getting duped by the rings and sauron taking over the world.
Pity tolkin never wrote that book

Will be a great movie to watch imo.. It has a lot to live up too after what LOTR was/is.

He wanted to make the movie aye, but the problem was that there are 2-3 other companies who owns the right for the movie. So apparently they were trying to buy the rights. Ofcourse Jackson should be the one and only to do the movie
