Post by Biloria »

After about 2-3 hours online my comp gets this really annoying lag.

When ever I look in the direction of a keep it lags like there were 4fg inc
I've tried to reinstall GFX drivers but nothin happens.

Anyone got another suggestion to break this anooying habit?

I wouldnt bother witrh defragging ram, if this was the case we would all get the same symptoms over this period of time. If this is a problem that develops over time as you indicate then it is more likely that you have a buggy program in the background that is leaking memory, or hardware drivers that are leaking memory. I suggest the usual of ensuring latest drivers for soundcard and graphics, and also kill any background programs you have runnning, especially p2p stuff.

What machine and OS by the way?

I have the same at my home computer now and then. Like crom said it is a memory leak. I havent checked into which program it is but i know for sure it is a mem leak of one of the programs i have running while playing.

Seem to remember you might of mentioned this but -- upgrade the video card!! If youre on a really tight budget ebay a Radeon 9800pro/xt usually between 30 and 50 quid.
