Legacy's Ventrilo

In the last weeks we have encounter verry bad lag from time to time, and it's becouse we are to menny on the ventrilo srv at the same time.
I only have a internet connection with 1 Mbit/s Uppload, and it can't take the uppstream
Sorry guys, but i have to make the ventrilo for legacy only
cous of the lag.
I will change the password tomorrow morning 21th

its np but must admit i am surprised cos at start that ventrilo was not legacy, eden asked you to do tdd vent , then u did it and later legacy added

I looked abit into the server-program, but it didnt seem to be too good with my firewall. Will check if I can make something similar

Thanks for the amount of time you kept the Ventrilo server going.
Keeping a Ventrilo server up 24/7 for the amount of people that were in it at times with 1M upload is really something.
Always thought your upload was at least 10x that.

I think you just need to make a port farwarding from the router to the computer that runs ventrilo srv.
I don't know how much you know about it, so i tell you what i did.
First sett a static IP on the ventrilo server computer.
Like: 192.168.0.10
standard sub: 255.255.255.0
GateWay: put the routers IP, use to be 192.168.0.1
DNS: Same as GateWay.
Login to your router and look for porfarward.
Farward port:3784 to 192.168.0.10
That means, all information sent to port3784 will go to your ventrilo server (192.168.0.10)

I understand if you are a little uppset when something being taken from you, atleast i woud.
But it's mine Ventrilo and it's our guild, i will always put my guild in the first place.
I belive you woud do the same if you where in my situation
