in RVR people can come and go , catch up and drop back, its not like a PVE raid where it gets hard to catch up with the raid when there are mass purps in their way.
IMO drop the 3 hour rule, it makes no odd's to your gaming nights
totaly agree with alex and asterixx i
have read all your post i saw you have not much exp in rvr
so i want be worried about your silly unknowing posts about rvr people come and go usw
maybe you a good pve gamer but pls don t speak about rvr
best you read alexs post 2-3 times maybe you anderstand then that we want
set up groups again and again over the 3 houers we play because we want to play and not chatting all the time who is lfg...
and ld never was a problem
so if you can t join for 3 houers stay away from groups but you invited to

Gwenn with her nearly RR7 is worth two low RR Droods, with DI, Artis.... and skill
so its not only about having a drood, you need to have a fine equipped skilled drood
:)

Alex yes this is a problem you are absolutely right. Having levelled a Nightshade to 50 in the old system (no free dings) with very little support and with it being my first character I am not overtly keen to go through it all again. I know all the stuff about learning your class and figuring out how to play it better however that can be done in the BG's and in our BG groups once we have a selection of workable classes.

Yes the charcter will need to be ToA'ed and definitely they will need rr experience.

I am beginning to see how the RR abilities make such a huge difference to the way they are played. I know you are enjoying that also as you have gone up the rr levels.

However that does not mean it cannot be done and fairly effeciently. It is a question of how and timing. I simply do not have the time myself to be able to do this solo again. However I think I could perhaps be better support to our activities as a Druid or Bard rather than a Nightshade....

agree
the same with Alex i needed 26 * 24hours for getting lvl 50 (needed nearly one year)
spent half a year in ML's and Toa'ing (leveling artis the old way no POC)
was lucky to get 10k points a week till RR 3L
now i do 25-35 k a week

means getting a good RVR char for a 08/15 gamer is nearly a full time job

Arkaon / Karak-Norn
and plenty of other chars between 10 and 30

Just a few thoughts...

Gwenn is worth 2 low RR droods because she knows how to play the class and has a lot of RvR experience (and I stress this is different to rps). All the arti's and equipment in the game are no substitute for getting out there and doing it. Quite frankly I would take any drood in my groups RR1 or RR10 as we all need to start somewhere.

I am not saying ra's make no difference but I do think we need to be less choosy, if we are short bards or droods then we need to be practical and understanding not particular about backgrounds and RR levels.

I levelled a couple of alts to give myself and any groups I run in variety. Not ideal to some extent as the time taken in a pain in the backside but as I enjoy a mix of RvR and PvE it has not been a major problem. Good news is I can help my guild/group/realm better as I can pick whichever toon is most needed. Bad news is I am not specialised nor do I have a huge RR level on any toon.

Ld's are a pain for any bg, my view is if the location is unsafe then the bg moves on and the ld has to try to catch up. Not good for the ld but better 23 peeps are ok rather than getting wiped waiting for number 24 to come back. Worse still are afk'ers (more so if they go unannounced).

Afk in RvR is dangerous but we all need a few seconds here and there. Cannot see an excuse for dashing off without warning, communication is key.

Setting a 3 hr time minimum could mean peeps do not join. I can understand the issue about re-setting grps but there are many times I am on for 2 hrs not 3 - yet I am expected to run solo ?

Setting too many restrictive rules will reduce your numbers and therefore group options. I would rather have a bard for 2 hrs than no bard for 3. I would rather have a non-toa'd drood than no drood at all.

Looks like my bard will not be joining your grps as I will not guarantee a 3 hr stint and arguably it is not fully toa'd.
